(Below) Hypothetical ILMP for year 2100 in Fairbourne, Wales. Looking at naturally engineered solutions to extreme sea level rise. Heavily influenced by the zandmotor project. Tried to apply similar principles to the salt marsh.
(Above) CAD drawing showing early design idea for the small but devilish 'singing footbridge'. This sparse bridge is built over a narrow ravine. It is in a highly exposed, windy area. Custom made 'flutes' top each pipe, engineered to sound once the wind reaches a certain speed.
(Above) Focus area showing the ravine and singing footbridge. Also a 55m walkway, tidal inlet, and adventurous swimming area. It is located just south of the salt marsh. The red line signifies the Victorian mini-rail, which emerges from the water at spring tide.
(Above, below) Conceptual masterplans for an enclosed courtyard at Birmingham City University.
